US CancerOption.com launches prostate cancer satellite site

CancerOption.com, Inc. a cancer specific health care portal, announced today that the Company has launched its third satellite web site, ProstateCancerOption.com (www.ProstateCancerOption.com).

The site is dedicated to educating men to help them take control over their individual health. Along with the other two satellite sites BreastCancerOption.com (www.BreastCancerOption.com) and LungCancerOption.com (www.LungCancerOption.com) the Company is developing a network of cancer specific web sites to increase ease of access of information and help to empower individuals to make better health care decisions. Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in men in the United States, exceeded only by lung cancer. The American Cancer Society estimates during 2001 approximately 198,100 new cases of prostate cancer will be diagnosed in the United States. One man in six will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime; one man in 30 will die of this disease. The American Cancer Society estimates that 31,500 men in the United States will die of prostate cancer during 2001. Prostate cancer accounts for about 11% of male cancer-related deaths.
