Vote, vote, vote for best-selling Banks

The Man Manual by Men's Health Forum president Dr Ian Banks is well on the way to becoming the best-selling men's health book of all time. Sales figures are not yet available but more than 40,000 copies were shipped on publication — a phenomenal number for a book of this type.

The Man Manual is published by Haynes and uses the same format as their well-known motor maintenance manuals. This brand familiarity is doubtlessly part of the success but so too is Ian's easy-to-read yet highly informative style which draws on the successful material he produced for NHS Direct.

On publication, Ian said that finding the right way to present information to men had long been a challenge but, 'with the Haynes manual we may have cracked it.' He may well be right.

The Forum gets 50p from every sale of this slim, hardback £12.99 volume — another good reason for buying a copy.

Meanwhile, Ian's men's health contribution to the online BBC Book of the Future is also attracting interest.

The most popular articles will be published in print in the summer with proceeds from the book going to Comic Relief.

The ratings are determined by visitors to the web site so please take a moment to click here, read Ian's article and give it a high rating.

It's your votes that count.
