APPG July 2010: New officers for a new parliament

This week the All Party Parliamentary Group on Men's Health had its first meeting since the general election and elected its new officers.

The meeting in the House of Lords was the group's official Annual General Meeting where it makes sure it complies with the rules for all-party groups.

As well as the official business, group members had an introductory talk from MHF CEO Peter Baker and discussed possible topics for group meetings.

The new officers of the group are:

  • Chair - Professor Lord Patel of Bradford OBE, right.
  • Vice chairs - Baroness Masham of Ilton, Chris Heaton-Harris MP and Paul Uppal MP.

The group's next meeting will look at the state of men's health and future meetings will look at men and cancer and at men's use of health on the internet.
