Getting It Sorted - the Forum's definitive blueprint for improving men's health is based on two years of consultation. Full of hard policy ideas, it is a shorter, more up-to-date version of the 2002 publication of the same name and makes the practical case for a new gender-specific approach from both government and the health system to 'mainstream' male health alongside female health.

Scoping Study - In 2001 Dr Alan White, the chair of the Men's Health Forum's trustees was asked to produce an overview of men's health for the Minister of Public Health, with priority areas identified and recommendations made for policy and research. The result was a concise but comprehensive overview of the state of men's health in Britain which the Department of Health later gave the Forum permission to publish. A summary of the key issues in men's health in 25 pages. (Sorry. This item has now been removed.)

Soldier it! Young Men and Suicide - an audit of local service provision and young men's uptake of services. The study aims to provide an insight into young men's attitudes to seeking help with a mental health problem and into how agencies working with young people perceive men. The Forum commissioned Working With Men to look in detail at both young men and services in a deprived London borough. The findings suggest that young men are very reluctant users of services while agencies have little understanding of how to target this group. The report concludes with recommendations about how work with young men can more effectively improve their mental health and reduce their risk of suicide.
