Yorkshire Man commended in BMA awards

Yorkshire Man, one of a range of health booklets for men from the Men’s Health Forum has been commended in the BMA patient information awards.

Yorkshire Man was produced by the Men’s Health Forum for Yorkshire NHS and is one of 40 titles in the MHF’s range of ‘mini-manuals’. Over one million mini manuals have been distributed to men.

Peter Baker, chief executive of the Men’s Health Forum said:
“Our range of mini-manuals has always been popular and it's great news that they are now award winning too. Mini-manuals are now following in the footsteps of our critically-acclaimed and heavily-used health information website, www.malehealth.co.uk.”

Mini-manuals are available in bulk to NHS organisations, employers, local authorities and voluntary organisations. The range includes the general Man Manual, Cancer, Self Care and HGV on weight issues. As well as Yorkshire Man bespoke editions include Lambeth Man and versions for Royal Mail and Rolls Royce.
