MHF president Dr Ian Banks and chair of trustees Professor Alan White were part of the top team at rugby league's Challenge Cup final.
But don't worry, Ian and Alan weren't playing for St Helens or Hull but for the Leeds Met University 25 strong male health team. This week-end the team, which has been a regular feature at Leeds Rhino matches this season, took men's health to Wembley.
Ian, who is a visiting professor at Leeds Met and is pictured with the team below, said: 'It was an amazing event, marvellous for Leeds Met and the MHF. Our logo and malehealth.co.uk website address were on the 15,000 leaflets given out by 25 willing volunteers. A special day for the 82,000 fans of St Helens and Hull and for the Forum too.'
Alan, who heads the University's Centre for Men's Health and is a qualified nurse, said: 'It was a great day and a very interesting experience working with so many men in this environment.
'We don't have a lot of evidence on the lasting impact of this sort of work but the opportunity to make face to face contact with the men we are most trying to target cannot be underestimated. There were almost no leaflets left as litter on the ground so they must have gone into a pocket. Let's hope they'll prove useful in the future to whoever took them home.'
In an exciting game featuring a heroic second-half comeback from Hull, St Helens overcame their injury-hit opponents 28-16 to lift the Challenge Cup for the third year running.
