MHF to create ‘a louder patient voice in men's health issues'

The Men’s Health Forum is establishing an Advisory Panel to help inform its work and to act as a reference group on key issues.

Áine Duggan, who is co-ordinating this work for the Forum said ‘We have always consulted patients widely, but we are now keen to formalise this arrangement. We see this as an opportunity to ensure that patient voices are centrally placed, both in policy consultations and in the development of information resources’.

Recruitment to the panel will take place over the summer months. Members will be asked to commit to the panel for a one year period. It is likely that there will be face to face meetings twice a year with e-mail and telephone communications in the periods between meetings. An initial induction day is being planned for the autumn.

You can find out more about membership of the panel and read our advertisement here
