MHF make friends with Relate for men-only campaign

The MHF is teaming up with Relate to help the relationship support charity to run a men’s health campaign.

Creative material from Big Communications is set for release in January based around the use of infographics to simplify decisions men need to make around their existing relationships. Look out for the camapign across both digital and outdoor media.

MHF policy officer David Wilkins said: ‘This campaign is just what’s needed. Our research on mental well-being shows that while so many men struggle with mental illness, services that appeal to men are few and far between. With men three times more likely to take their own lives the result of this is clear.’

First time men specifically targeted

Jon Marchant, client director for Big commented: 'This is a milestone campaign for Relate especially as it’s the first time that they are specifically targeting men. The campaign that we’ve developed for Relate aims to help change perceptions that they are only relevant for married couples with relationship issues. We’re confident our work will strike a chord with young blokes who could do with a bit of help, but are worried about what their mates will think.'
