My role

Vote Osbourne and put men's health on the map

Colin Osbourne, the founder of the Orchid Cancer Appeal is up for GMTV's Fundraiser of the Year (a category of the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards).

The award, say GMTV, 'recognises people who have done outstanding work raising funds for their chosen charity'. After overcoming his own testicular cancer, Colin set up the 4.7MB version to support and raise awareness of men's cancer.

He's up against Helena Jones, 70, a committed campaigner for the National Kidney Research Fund in Wales; Tom Isaacs, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's at only 27; and hospital porter Willie Nugent MBE. Worthy winners all but a win for Colin would really help to men's health on the map. Why not give him your support?

Polling is by a phone vote tomorrow (Friday 27 February). It costs 25p a call and GMTV say all the revenue will be shared equally between the four charities represented by the four nominees.

4.7MB version.
