Two of the MHF team have been Skydiving!
Not for fun, obviously, but to raise some money for the organisation. Rachel Mustafa of the Business and Service Development team and intern Chad Grimm made their leap from Chatteris Airfield in Cambridgeshire from 13,000 feet (8,000m).
Yes, free fall.
The plunge took place on July 12 2012.
Rachel said she was making the jump in memory of her father who died last year from bowel cancer. 'During the past year I have gained first-hand experience of the results of men not prioritising their health and not having the knowledge to spot telltale signs linked to more serious medical conditions. I am dedicating this jump to my late Dad who passed away in November last year of Bowel Cancer. Know the signs and don't put it off!'
Chad added: 'Too many sons, brothers, friends, cousins, fathers, husbands, uncles and grandfathers die before their time is up. Assist the MHF in their research, development, awareness, and prevention of men's health issues and get men on a better pathway to longer living! Every dollar and pound goes directly to MHF and their efforts.'
A few funders have agreed to match every single pound raised so open up those pockets: every pound you give will be doubled.
Thank you. Your contribution is much appreciated.
