Know the Score on bowel cancer

Nicky JohnsThe nation's footballers are getting behind a new campaign to raise awareness of bowel cancer.

The Mr Brightside Project - run by former Charlton goalie Nicky Johns, the Bobby Moore Fund and the Adam Stansfield Foundation have come together with the Professional Footballers Association to set up the Know the Score bowel cancer awareness campaign. Look out for the adverts in your team's match programme this month.

England's world cup winning captain Bobby Moore died of the disease aged 52, Exeter City's Adam Stansfield died last year aged 31 while Nicky's son Stephen died at the age of just 26. This is a disease that respects nobody. For more information:
