Fifty people travelled from across the UK and abroad to Bradford for 'Improving Men's Health in you area', an event organised by the Forum with Health Of Men.
The half day seminar drew on the work of the PCT and the local authority's Health Of Men initiative to show the audience the type of men's health work they could do in their area.
Professor Alan White from Leeds Metropolitan University reported on his evaluation of Health Of Men's work and summarised the lessons that could be learnt about working with men, especially young men.
The seminar focussed on three areas of Health Of Men's work reflected in chapters of Prof White's book 'Men's Health - How to do it' - Sexual Health, Work in Schools and MOT Health Checks. The Health Of Men team covered how their services had changed and improved. The audience went away with many ideas for their own work.
