Six PCTs in Northumberland and Tyne and Wear are reportedly offering 16-24 year olds the chance to win a holiday if they take a Chlamydia test.
Newcastle-based social marketing firm Foundry Media are donating the four first prize holidays worth £2,000.
The results of the test will be sent out by text message which has caused some concern about whether this is most appropriate way to tell someone they have the UK's most common sexually transmitted infection.
