FC Barcelona, Manchester City, Lords Cricket Ground, Morecambe FC - delegates to the European Healthy Stadia Conference 2013 will hear from the biggest and smallest sports grounds in a showcase of best practice.
Healthy Stadia, the European-wide network for communications and expertise on public health policy and practice in sports stadia, have released the full programme for the European Healthy Stadia Conference to take place on 21 March 2013 at Etihad Stadium in Manchester.
The conference includes over 35 speakers presenting examples of current practice and developments from across Europe in the cross-cutting fields of sports, health and wellbeing, stadia management and corporate and social responsibility. Speeches, plenary workshops and discussions will focus on the health and social benefits of Healthy Stadia policies, and the business benefits for stadia who engage in the network’s agenda.
Healthy Stadia are expecting over 300 participants and encourage practitioners from fields such as health promotion, public health commissioning, stadia and facilities management, community engagement and stadia sustainability to exchange ideas with like-minded professionals.
Keynote speakers also include governing bodies of sport and professional sports clubs such as the UEFA, London 2012 Olympics, Aviva Stadium, streetfootballworld and the World Heart Federation.
