My role

Tell a story about your dad

In the run up to Fathers’ Day on Sunday June 19th 2011, the Men’s Network is inviting dads from all over the world to share their experiences of fatherhood– whether those experiences are good, bad, happy or sad.

The initiative is part of a bigger project to create an online collection of men’s stories from around the world in the run up to the UK’s first National Conference for Men & Boys to be held in Brighton & Hove in November 2011.

Anyone can share their experiences of being a dad online through the Dandelion Stories website, a community project that brings together stories from around the world on subjects which are close to home.

Stories should be no more than 650 words long and where appropriate, personal details may be changed to ensure confidentiality. The aim of the first part of this project is to unite people from around the globe by enabling them to share their experiences with the rest of the world.

A selection of the stories will be chosen to form part of public exhibition that will created with the help of men with learning disabilities.

To submit a personal story on fatherhood or any other experience visit www.dandelionstories.co.uk today or click on this link now and add your story.
